Wugang Refractory Co., Ltd. (RCWISCO), a wholly owned subsidiary company of Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corporation (WISCO) have served the iron and steel industry for more than 40 years and has established a sound system in innovation, business plan, design, R&D, manufacturing management, products application, lining construction and maintenance. As the global contractor of supply of all the refractory products consumed in WISCO, and of several other steel plants in converter and ladle area, RCWISCO is very competent in global service with outstanding performance.

    With land of 750,000 square meters and net assets of 600 million RMB, equipped with advanced equipment imported from Germany, Japan etc., RCWISCO is operating 28 production lines with a capacity over 800,000 tons per year.

    The products are mainly three types: refractories, materials for metallurgical purpose and advanced ceramics materials.

    The refractories include BOF linings, ladle linings, tundish linings and furniture, sliding gate related nozzles, plates etc. The lining campaign world record of combined blowing BOF has been kept and renewed.

    Materials for metallurgical purpose include high quality active lime, light burned dolomite, desulfurizer etc.

    Advanced materials include anticorrosive materials, magnetic materials, high-tech ceramic functional materials and Nano materials etc.

    RCWISCO has founded a first-class R&D center. Among the 30 employees, 20 have got their master or doctor degrees. This center cooperates with many universities and research institutes, combined with self developed experiences and knowledges in the field applications. RCWISCO is one of the leaders in the domestic market.
